Trevett Cristo P.C., a local law firm that has been serving the Greater Rochester community for over 90 years, is excited to announce that Dan DeBolt, partner at the firm, had the honor of speaking at the Upstate PBA, an association of police unions from across the state.

Dan spoke on the subject of General Municipal Law Section 207-c, which provides benefits to officers injured in the line of duty.

Explaining the rights and obligations of employers and injured officers under the statute, Dan suggested approaches the unions could take during negotiations with their employers on related issues. He also including some of the recent ways in which employers attempt to attack benefits under the statute and how unions can try to rebuff these attacks.

The annual conference event, which took place on April 10th and 11th, was sponsored by the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse police unions.
